Dear visitor,

Why can’t we have more time and space?

On February 15th Speelplaats* began with the End of the Year speech. Logically the last day now ends with the Beginning of the Year. All the contributions to the program during 8, 9 and 10 July (during the traditional End of Year Show of Werkplaats Typografie) are dedicated to the Beginning and the Ending, the maxing out of time, extension of space, and all the contributions follow the spirit of Speelplaats, as a testing ground for research, a place where the students can introduce and expand on their investigations collectively.

* Speelplaats is a three-dimensional ‘head-space’ or editorial space where the students (of Werkplaats Typografie), in discussion with the tutor, run a parallel program that feeds the thesis.

Greetings,
Cox & Grusenmeyer

P.S.: Together with Boris Van den Eynden, Maxine Kopsa and other students from Werkplaats Typografie.

Personal contribution to the show: The Black Shop.
